Saxton’s ride hot goalie, win first NVSHL title

Langley entered the NVSHL tournament as the #7 seed, but honestly does that even matter when you’ve got arguably the best goalie in the state? The Saxton’s rode their luck on their all-state goalie Max Campbell, who fought off 30 shots to clinch the state championship.

Langley upset #1 seeded Chantilly in the semi-finals, a team that was at the top of the WaPo’s top 10 list for the latter part of the season, and before that, upset Stone Bridge and took down Oakton. Langley was lead by first year head coach Patrick Keough and senior Christian Tschampel. Congrats on the first ever NVSHL chipper, welcome to #RingSZN
