Richmond Generals win USPHL Elite Championship
The Generals found themselves in the semi-final game after just one win and two ties, and found themselves up against the defending champs and local rival Hampton Whalers. The semi-final took awhile to get interesting, with it only being a 1-0 Richmond lead after two periods. After trading a few goals to find themselves knotted a 2 a piece, Generals forward Zachary Boulet found the back of the net with 2:27 remaining in the game.

Next up was the Tampa Bay Juniors, and this game was a lot more exciting, if you’re a Richmond fan that is. 5 goals galore and WIPEEEEE of the Tampa team, with the final score ending at 5-2 and giving Richmond the championship hardware. With 20 teams in the league, Richmond finished 3rd at 33-9-1-0-1-1, and damn right that USPHL trophy is staying in the DMV. Congrats boys, welcome to #RingSZN
