With Joel Quenneville becoming the Florida Panthers new head coach, this just mightily stirred the pot in next years playoff race. The East is already pretty tight as far Superstars and talent go. But now with one of the best head coaches in the history of the NHL, the Wild Card race is gonna be fucking insane coming down the stretch next season. The Florida Panthers definitely have some studs on their team that can make them a playoff team. Some even say that Barkov is a top 5 player in the league. With Quenneville at the helm, you have to think that he turns this franchise around and they immediately become a major threat with some of the weapons they have.

Think about it. You’ve got the Flyers who’ve finally found themselves a goalie in Carter Hart showing he can be a stud in net, The Hurricanes securing themselves a wild card spot this year and can only see them getting better with their young talent, the Isles and Barry Trotz showing he can make impossible things happen, CBJ is always a tough out, the Habs were right there this year and you gotta think they’ll go all out for Carey Price at some point. Who knows what the fuck is going to happen next year? But I certainly can’t wait to watch it unfold. Will Buffalo turn their shit around next year with a new head coach? It’s very possible. And then you still have the teams on top of that you know aren’t going anywhere in the Penguins, the Bruins, the Maple Leafs, the Lightning, and the Capitals. That’s 11 teams with legitimately solid playoff hopes fighting for 8 spots and anywhere from 3-7 teams fighting for a wild card spot. That is gonna be a thriller at the end of next season!
