It’s Wednesday, October 2nd… WASHINGTON CAPITALS OPENING NIGHT, and we dropped an episode this morning to get you ready! AB catches the boys up on how the Chirpin DMV squad did in the Charm City Hockey roller tourney this weekend.. (hint, it wasn’t great) BUT, we got some sick jerseys courtesy of the boys at Black Biscuit, check em out below! https://black-biscuit.com/

So, moving on. KP went on a bachelor party fishing all weekend, and I went up to Reisterstown to catch the Stevenson vs WVU game. Yes, I used to coach at Ryken.. long story there of how that ended, but I spent the last 3 seasons there. 2 of my seniors from last year are on the team, Troy Tallant and Nick Lane, and Alex Delaney, my captain from 2 seasons ago is also on the team, so I had to go see my boys plays (and my alumni, CHEERS BEERS MOUNTAINEERS.. HORNS DOWN) … sorry, got carried away, but WVU lost the game 4-3, lost again Sunday 6-1, and Stevenson is off to a hot start at 4-0. Best part of the weekend? Seeing my captain last year who led us to a WCAC Metro and MAPHL A championship, Nick Lane, score his first ever college goal, a beautiful shorty! #Shawtywannaride

We talk about some recent signings in Laine, Tkachuk, and Rantanen. We make predictions on player awards for the end of the season including MVP, Veznia, Coach of the YEar, Norris, basically all the major ones, and there is NO BIAS… I kinda promise, it’s all factual predictions. We also pick our favorites to make the conference finals and eventual Stanley Cup champs.. i’m sure you can guess who we went with. Our interview is with Lara Hopewell, founder of the October Saves charity to raise money for breast cancer. It’s an incredible story and their growth is amazing, you can check out their website here https://octobersaves.org/ to keep up with stats and saves throughout the month, and also to donate.
