College Power Rankings: 10/7

HERE IT IS! The first college power rankings of the season. We’ll be dropping these every Monday after weekend games get played out and we can get a fresh look at each team and how the came out on record wise Monday morning. Here’s a few things to note here in these power rankings so i’m not getting blown up and chirped because you think this team is batter than the other and blah blah blah. Look, I realize teams play in different divisions, whether it’s NCAA D3, or ACHA D1, D2, D3, whatever it may be, and I realize hey, the NCAA D3 team would smoke the ACHA D2 team! I don’t give a damn about that. These are based on how specific teams are competing and doing in their specific conferences/divisions/leagues you name it. If you’re an ACHA D3 team that 10-2 and the ACHA D1 team is 4-6-2, then well, the D3 team is going above the D1 team, that’s how it goes. BUT, if say a two of these top 10 teams are both ACHA D2, or any other conference, and play each other, that result will be taken into consideration for the rankings. Rules or rules, don’t fight me on em, and enjoy the OFFICIAL Chirpin’ DMV Power Rankings.

#1 – Liberty (ACHA D2) 7-0-0

Checking in at #1 is Liberty’s D2 team. They just came off a weekend home stand vs. Penn State where they swept the Nittany Lions by scores of 4-0 and 3-2, in which the Flames had a 2 goal third period to erase a 1-2 deficit to comeback late and win 3-2 to stay undefeated. Prior to Sundays game, Liberty was on a 3 game shutout streak, and have outscored opponents 50-5 in their first seven games.

  2. How do you come up with these is it just your opinion and is it just one conference?

    • Not just one conference, in the DMV, the college teams play in various levels from NCAA D3 to ACHA D3 and every where in between. It’s based on how they’ve started their seasons so far in their specific league/conference
