The second Caps-focused episode of the year is here and it’s kicking off a huge week as we’ve got TWO.. that’s right, TWO interviews this week. We’re gonna try to keep on doing that as much as we can, now that we’ve got one Caps episode and one local episode a week, we’re working hard to bring you a relevant Caps and local interview each week for the best content possible.

Interview – Keith Aucoin

That’s right, former Capital Keith Aucoin is on the pod today talking about his career in the Caps organization. He was a back-to-back Calder Cup champ with the Bears and played with a ton of your favorite now-a-day caps in those runs, so it’s really interesting to get his perspective on the guys like Carlson, Grubi, and a few others when they were in that very young part of their careers just starting out. OH BTW.. Keith is 7th all time in points in the AHL, and he talks about both the differences and similarities in his game and how they translated to the AHL and NHL level. It’s an awesome interview for sure, so go give it a listen.

It’s a fun episode.. for us at least, as we recorded on Sunday (instead of our normal Monday night due to all wanting to watch Caps vs Canes and the National Championship.. mostly the Natty.. Geaux Tygas) and it was what.. 70 degrees out that day? Shorts and all we turned on some NFL playoffs, open up a case of beer and some claws and as the alcohol flowed, so did the hot takes. We break down the Caps vs Ottawa, Philly, and Devils games prior to the interview. After the interview, we get into our segments GOAT Facts and Unleash the Fury… and oh boy was unleash the fury good since we pulled the angry social comments from post game for both the Flyers and Devils losses. We preview the next few games for the Caps, then end the episode with out “all Decade Team” as we pick the best Caps lineup of the decade (in our opinion, or course) so here’s who we chose:
