Ahhhh, finally.. college hockey in the DMV is back in full swing and we had some massive games over the weekend including two Chirpin’ DMV top 10 match-ups, but instead of writing a bunch of useless shit you don’t care about here, let’s jump right into the rankings.

The D2 Flames…once again, pitched a weekend sweep beating Rowan in both games at LaHaye Ice Center, and that’s no small feat against a 13-3 squad. The Flames have four total games left in league play, so assuming they go four and ohhhhh so sweet, then they should end up with the #1 ranking in ACHA D2 Southeast

The D1 Flames are moving back up into the top two in the power rankings after dummying the Delaware Ducks scoring 15 on the weekend while only allowing 5. They’re up against a Stony Brook team this weekend who they’ve already beat 7-3 and 2-1 as they look to add to their current seven game winning streak.

It was a bye weekend for the Cards and they move down a spot after the D1 Liberty team continues to dominate. The Cards have two games coming up this weekend, the first vs UMBC, a team they should absolutely wipe, and then a big one Sunday as CUA looks to avenge their only loss of the season.

The only Chirpin DMV Top 10 match-up this weekend was a rematch between the Colonials and PAtriots. This GW squad won the last round in a shootout, but dropped this one in regulation to start the new year with a loss. They’ll look to bounce back this weekend against rival Georgetown.
